Red Line

What is a red line?
If you work with forklifts, you may well have come across the red line . The red line is also known as ‘safety lights’, as they are designed to make the forklift environment safer. To create a safe environment in your warehouse, you should equip your forklift with red line technology. A clearly marked red line projects a clear red line onto the floor and warns others to keep a safe distance from the forklift. The Red Line helps where audible alarms fall short. The safety lights can be fitted to either the front or rear of the forklift or forklift truck. The red line is specially designed for indoor environments and provides a clear light image.
Installing the safety light
It is useful to mount safety lights in a high strategic location. In many cases, the roof of a forklift seems a good place with sufficient mounting and connection options. When mounting the safety light, make sure you adjust the red line correctly. The warning effect works best when the red line reaches clear to the ground and is not dimmed or faded. When connecting the safety light, it is important to check that it is correctly aligned. For safety lighting, we recommend an optimal projection area of 2.5 metres. The safety lights are also waterproof.
The function of the red line
The function of the red line of the safety light, is to demarcate the movement/directional area of the forklift. In the warehouse where it can often be noisy, warning sounds can get lost in the background noise. Thus, and warning in the shape of LED light can make working more pleasant and safer in some cases.
