What is a 3-pole connector?
Definition
This is a connector for connecting devices in an electrical circuit. This connector has three contact points: phase, neutral and earth.
Pin assignment

| PIN 1 | Phase (L) | The phase pin carries the current from the power source to the device. This is the active PIN in the circuit. |
| PIN 2 | Zero (N) | The zero pin carries the current back from the device to the power source and completes the circuit. |
| PIN 3 | Earth (P/E) | The earth pin provides a safe path for fault currents to ground and protects against electric shock. |
When is a 3-pole connector used?
A 3-pole connector is used when the electrical function does not require extensive wiring, such as for single lights or sensors. In situations where the extra functions and connections of a multi-pole or connectors are not needed, the 3-pin connector offers an efficient and cost-effective solution.
