What is a flood beam?
A flood beam (also called a floodlight) is a light that focuses on illuminating as large an area as possible. What a flood beam is ideal for depends on how you use it. An important feature of a good flood beam is a high light output. This ensures a clear and well-lit environment. Also, LED flood beams are known for their durability and have a long service life.
Wattages of flood beams
With flood beams, also known as floodlights, wattage refers to the power of the light source used in the floodlight. The wattage indicates how much energy the light source consumes and directly affects the light output and brightness of the floodlight.
Generally speaking, a higher wattage results in a higher light output, which means that the floodlight will shine clearer. In the context of lighting, wattage is crucial to indicate the energy consumption of a light, which is directly related to the amount of light it generates.
Multivoltage equipped
Most TRALERT® lighting that can be used as flood beams is multi-voltage equipped. This means that the lighting is not limited to a certain group of vehicles. Each vehicle has its own connection. When a light is multivoltage equipped, it will simply work at the different voltages. Multivoltage varies between 12V and 24V but also from 9V to 36V. So you don't need to worry about this when buying your LED lighting.
