• The red retro reflector must be mounted at a height of not less than 0.25 m and not more than 0.90 m above the road surface;

More and more tail lights are already equipped with a built-in triangle reflector as standard. If the rear light of the trailer is already equipped with a reflector, you are not required to also install a red retro reflector. You can leave it out in this case.
