Marnix Leeuw is ready for his debut in the truck class of the Dakar Rally. As one of the youngest participants ever, he will take on the rest of the field in his Iveco Powerstar. For service and support during the rally, Leeuw has signed a two-year contract with Team De Rooy.
An important part of the fully equipped truck is the lighting. After all, extremely powerful lighting is needed to continue driving at night. For this reason, Team Leeuw Rallysport chose to engage TRALERT® for a customised lighting package.
What immediately stands out are the 8 powerful Nemesis XL lightbars, found in the sun visor and front bumper. Together with the WF-3027 work lights, this results in a perfectly lit field of vision of over a kilometre.

MARNIX LEEUW
ROAD TO DAKAR
As one of the youngest participants ever, Marnix Leeuw is preparing for the 2026 Dakar Rally. Where in 2025 he made his debut as a navigator in the buggy, in 2026 he will step up to the truck class and this time take his own seat behind the wheel.
Seated next to him in the Iveco Powerstar are experienced navigator Marco Siemons and mechanic Bert van Donkelaar, with whom Team Leeuw Rallysport will embark on the adventure in Saudi Arabia. The aim is to reach the finish line after 8,000 kilometres.
Winning the Dakar Rally? Maybe one day. After all, you have to dare to dream big.

After months of preparation, the dream of Marnix Leeuw and the team came true in 2026. The Dakar Rally 2026 started on 3 January in the deserts of Saudi Arabia and ended on 17 January.
The trio with start number #620 could be followed via the official Dakar website and through daily updates on TRALERT®'s social media channels.
